Inaugural Highland Beer, Gin and Whisky Pageant hailed a hit

THE Highland Rugby Soccer Membership (Highland RFC) has hailed its first Highland Beer, Gin and Whisky Pageant as an awesome success.

The pageant ran together with the Inverness Metropolis 7s, a two-day rugby 7s competitors with tournaments for elite males’s, social girls’s and males’s junior boys, ladies and younger adults.

The occasion – held as a part of the membership’s centenary 12 months celebrations – occurred over the Platinum Jubilee Weekend, and introduced beer, gin and whisky from throughout the Scottish Highlands, to the grounds of Highland RFC.

All proceeds from the Highland Beer, Gin & Whisky Pageant will profit Mikeysline, Alzheimer Scotland, My Title’5 Doddie and Highland RFC.

Talking in regards to the occasion, Roy Dinnes, Vice President at Highland RFC, stated: “What an awesome weekend.

“To see 120 youngsters competing within the Mini’s and Micro’s occasion on Friday and a few actually shut video games within the Inverness Metropolis 7s on Saturday and Sunday, after three years within the planning, we’re completely delighted.

“It was an honour to see so many individuals having fun with good rugby, wonderful native craft beer, gin and whisky, and naturally, good firm at Canal Park.

“This was our first Highland Beer, Gin & Whisky Pageant and Inverness Metropolis 7s which we hope to make an annual occasion.
