CIRCUS Abyssinia visits Edinburgh to introduce us to the exceptional true story of Derartu Tulu.
Circus Abyssinia returns to the Fringe after their final jaw-dropping efficiency, Ethiopian Goals, with a brand new show, Tulu.
The group will inform the story of the icon who reached the highest of the racing world.
The 15 artists, will showcase acrobatics like synchronised acrobatic stunts, contortion and rollerblading.
Tulu comes from a small village in Ethiopia, with restricted alternatives.
Farming and lonely runs throughout the wild valleys had been her day by day amusements. Nonetheless, the athlete didn’t let this crush her goals.
Her unparalleled velocity led her to win the 10km race within the 1992 Barcelona Olympics – the primary African feminine to ever obtain a gold medal.
Bibi Tesfamariam and Bichu Shimellis, co-found, direct and produce this hair-raising show of mind-blowing acrobatics.
Shimellis mentioned: “Derartu is likely one of the biggest unsung heroines of recent Ethiopia and we’re thrilled to ask audiences of the UK to share and have fun her life and achievements with us.”
