Scots Agricultural Society proclaims appointment of recent Chairman

THE ROYAL Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS) has introduced the appointment of a brand new Chairman. 

Jim Warnock, of Gartfinnan Farm, Clackmannanshire, has been appointed Chairman for a two-year time period.

The 61-year-old, who’s Managing Director of JDWAgri Ltd., has served as a Stirling space Director at RHASS since 2010, earlier than being appointed Chairman Designate in 2020.

Throughout his time on the Society, Jim has served as Steward for Cattle, Sheep, Mild Horse and Heavy Horse earlier than being chosen as Chief Steward of the Major Ring, a place he held for 5 years.

Previous Chairman of Stirling Younger Farmers and Previous Chairman and President of Stirling Agricultural Society, Jim has been an lively member of RHET Forth Valley delivering classroom talks, farm visits and different RHET Occasions. 

Commenting on his appointment, Jim mentioned: “I’m honoured to carry the place of Chairman at RHASS following what has been a really difficult time.
